About Us
Siachen Naturals
From our village to your home. Fair prices for farmers. Good food for you.
Who We Are

We are farmers from Aranoo village in Nubra Valley, Ladakh. We grow food in the mountains and we know this land.
Siachen Naturals buys crops from women farmers in our village and nearby areas. We process the food here in the village and sell it with our name. We work only with crops that naturally grow here - seabuckthorn, traditional barley, apricots, and wild herbs. We pay fair prices and we follow organic methods.
Our goal is simple. Keep the money in the village. Make farming pay again. Protect our land.
If this works in Aranoo, it can work in other mountain villages too.
My Story
Tsetan Dorjay, Founder
I am from Aranoo. I stopped farming because it was not paying.
I saw my neighbors and family plant crops that failed. When harvest came, middlemen paid very little. Water became less because glaciers are melting. Many years the crops did not grow well.
So people started leaving. They went to Leh or other towns for small jobs. I saw we were losing not just money, but our seeds, our knowledge, our village life.
I became an aggregator to help farmers sell their crops. Then in 2022, I started Siachen Naturals. My idea was simple - process food in the village, pay farmers fair prices, and show that farming here can work again.
"I am not asking farmers to grow new things. I am asking people to value what already grows here."
This is a business. We buy crops that naturally grow in these mountains. We process them here. We sell with our own brand. We pay farmers good prices, not just for raw crops but for the full value of the food.
Slowly, people are staying. Young people see they can earn here. That is what matters most.
What We Believe
When you buy from us, you are part of something bigger. Here is what we promise you.

Real Food from Real Mountains
Everything we sell grows naturally in Ladakh's high mountains. Seabuckthorn, apricots, wild herbs, traditional barley. No chemicals. No artificial anything. Just pure mountain food the way it has grown for hundreds of years. When you eat our food, you taste the Himalayas.

Your Money Helps Families Stay
Every product you buy pays a fair price directly to women farmers in our village. Not to middlemen. Not to big companies. To the mothers and grandmothers who grow the food. Your purchase helps families stay in their homes instead of leaving for cities. You are keeping villages alive.
Good for You, Good for Earth
We process food in the village using little energy. We use no chemicals in farming. We protect water and soil. This is not just about business. When you choose our products, you choose food that heals both your body and the planet. Simple as that.
From Our Hands to Yours
We are not a factory somewhere far away. We are farmers you can meet. We grow, we process, we pack. Every product has our name and our pride in it. When something has our name, we make sure it is good. That is our promise to you.
Why This Matters
Aranoo is one of the last villages in Nubra Valley. If we lose it, we lose our seeds, our farming knowledge, our way of life.
Climate is changing here. Glaciers are getting smaller. Snow comes differently. Water is less predictable. The old farming is under pressure. But the answer is not to leave. The answer is to make farming pay.
When local crops become profitable, farmers stop growing crops that need too much water and damage the soil. When we process food in the village, we create less pollution and farmers earn more. When young people can earn here, they stay and take care of the land.
"If we don't act now, we will lose our native seeds, our farming knowledge, and our village life."
Siachen Naturals is not an outside idea. It is built by people who know this place. We lived the problem. We believe the answer is already here - in the crops, the land, and the farmers.
If this works in Aranoo, it can work in other valleys. That is our vision - not just one village, but a way to bring back dignity and income to mountain farming everywhere.
